Stephanie Principal: Jewish cemetery

This morning we went to the Jewish cemetery and you can tell by the picture that it has been neglected for a while with the exception of a few new stones. What I also noticed is that some of the names are not in Jewish but rather in German or Hebrew because at that time of the occupation, people spoke German. It was a peaceful place for every cemetery is and the fact that there was a river in the back was just amazing. I don’t think that it should be that neglected, they should hire people and renew the ground and add new grass. It would not be hard to do so since it a small cemetery compared to others. I also saw a huge stone which is a Jewish memorial. This memorial belongs to a guy who buried his grandson and several family members. In general this cemetery now belongs to a guy who bought it to build something but by miracle and some unknown reason he did not. If he actually used it for construction, the bodies would not have been removed. Do you know how awful that is?
Furthermore as we were on the road, noticed the house and the set up. The houses are beautiful; they are alive and so colorful. They are different from the United States because it seems like they own it and that they were built by their actual owner. There is a lot of empty space. As an environmental scientist major, Poland would be a great place to experiment and study. The people are very friendly and helpful. If only you try a little bit, they will be even friendlier.
